NEET Application Process Document Required for NEET

is Aadhar Card a Mandatory Document to Apply for NEET??
National Board of Examination (NBE) has notified that Aadhar Card is now a mandatory
document to apply for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. Candidates appearing in  NEET 2018,who do not possess an Aadhar Card must apply for the same. Aadhar Card has now
become an essential prerequisite for appearing in all the major exams including JEE and
CAT.
Candidates who do not possess an Aadhar Card can visit the nearest enrollment center
established by CBSE across all the examination centers and apply for the document. Those
who have already applied for the Aadhar and are still waiting to receive it can type their 12-
digit enrollment number while registering. This step has been taken in order to authenticate
the student’s identification through their Aadhar Number and match it with the Aadhar
Database, following which the student will be able to fill the online form.
This move of making the Aadhar Card a mandatory document was pulled to mitigate the
cases of fraud that happen during these exams. The authorities want to exercise sufficient
control over the monitoring of these exams and decided to use the Unique Identification
Number as a tool to diminish the side effects of conducting this exam. The candidates can
visit UIDAI to access the list of Aadhar centers where they can apply and enroll for Aadhar
card. CBSE itself has decided to open Aadhar centers for candidates who have not yet applied
for their Aadhar Card.
