Irom Sharmila who is more famous as Iron Lady of Manipur. Iron was on hunger strike for 16 years as she wants to release her state from Armed Force Special Power Act 1958. As it give power to arrest any one without warrant and gives many other rights to police in the states in which the Act is enforced.Iron has started her hunger strike in 2000 and she decided that the strike will be continued until her state will be free from the enforcement of such law. But now after 16 years she decided to discontinue her Strike get married. Irom said she has discontinued her Strike not her fight against AFSPA Act  which was enforced in 1958.
