There are totally 75 vacancies in tambaram division & this is the only division with highest vancancies than any other division, Since you are a SC candidate, you are competing for totally 73 vacancies under both UR quota (62 vacancies) & SC quota (11 vacancies), I personally feel that the question paper is somewhat tough compared to the previous postman direct recruitment exam held in 2012 & getting around 50 marks is a good thing, You are having 50:50 chances for the job, But wait for the results…

I think initially a division-wise merit list will be prepared & in that list if the no. of qualified candidates is less than the no. of vacancies in that division, then the remaining qualified candidates from other divisions may get job in their nearby division (or) they may keep the vacancies unfilled till next direct recruitment exam for postman / mailguard
This decision will made by the Chief Postmaster General of Tamil Nadu Circle if he / she thinks that there is a need for such decision.
